Certified End of Life Doula in Bristol

I’m based in Bristol and came to end-of-life work after helping to care for an older relative. The medical care was in place, but there were plenty of other things to deal with: keeping family informed, arranging visits and working out what we needed to ask. That experience made me interested in the support a doula can offer.

My background is in library services and community work. I’ve worked with people of different ages and backgrounds, including people who find it difficult to ask for help. I’m fairly practical and prefer straightforward conversations.

I offer non-medical support to someone approaching the end of life and to the people supporting them. This can include regular visits, help putting wishes into writing, preparing questions for appointments and organising day-to-day tasks. I don’t give medical or legal advice, but can help you identify which questions need to go to the relevant professional.

I’m happy to discuss religious or non-religious wishes. I would start by finding out what support you already have and where I might be useful.
