Imogen Vale

Certified End of Life Doula in Norfolk

I’m semi-retired and live near Norwich. My background is in running a small business and local voluntary work. I also spent several years sharing caring responsibilities within my family, which gave me some understanding of how demanding it can be alongside work and other commitments.

I offer companionship and practical support at the end of life. This might include visiting regularly, helping someone record their wishes, keeping relatives updated with permission, or supporting the organisation of everyday tasks. Sometimes the main need is continuity: having the same person turn up and know what has been happening.

I’m used to listening to different views and don’t expect families to agree about everything. The wishes of the person being supported come first. I’m comfortable with religious and non-religious approaches and would ask rather than make assumptions.

My support is non-medical and would fit around the care already in place. We would agree the tasks and limits of my role before starting.
