Refunds and Cancellations Policy
1. Nature of Service
FindADoula.co.uk provides an independent professional platform that helps individuals and families discover and connect with end of life doulas, practitioners, organisations and support services.
By purchasing a membership or subscription, you are paying for access to professional profile features, visibility on the platform, and participation within the wider Find a Doula network.
We do not guarantee:
- any minimum number of profile views, enquiries, clicks, referrals or leads
- any increase in revenue, bookings or client acquisition
- any specific search engine ranking or online visibility
- any particular level of exposure, engagement or business outcome
2. No Performance-Based Refunds
Refunds will not be issued based on:
- lack of enquiries, referrals or leads
- low traffic, profile visibility or search placement
- perceived lack of value or return on investment
- differences in outcomes between members, locations or services
By purchasing a membership, you acknowledge that outcomes vary based on factors outside our control, including (but not limited to) location, profile quality, availability, market demand, competition, pricing, experience, and the nature of the services offered.
3. Subscription Payments
All subscription payments (monthly or annual) are non-refundable once processed, except where required by law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- your profile or membership will remain active until the end of the current billing period
- no partial refunds will be issued for unused time
- no further payments will be taken after cancellation
4. Consumer Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
If you are purchasing as a consumer (not acting in the course of a business), you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, by purchasing a membership and requesting immediate activation of your profile or access to platform features, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
- the service begins immediately upon activation, and
- you may lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully performed
Where applicable, this may reduce or remove your right to a full refund.
5. Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion in limited circumstances, including:
- duplicate payments
- technical errors preventing profile activation
- platform-side faults that materially prevent service delivery
Each case will be assessed individually.
6. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to:
- suspend or remove associated profiles
- terminate associated accounts
- restrict future access to the platform
We will always attempt to resolve disputes fairly before escalation.
7. Policy Acceptance
By purchasing a membership or subscription, you confirm that you have:
- read and understood this policy
- accepted that FindADoula.co.uk provides an independent professional platform
- acknowledged that no guaranteed outcomes are provided
